Now in collaboration with SAGA Egmont, his engaging narration of these famous classics is available to readers everywhere.

Rudolf Erich Raspe (1736 - 1794) was a German writer, scientist and librarian, best known for his collection of tall tales "The Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen" (1785). After he finished his education in natural science and philology at Göttingen and Leipzig, Raspe worked as a librarian of the Landgraf's collection of gems and coins. Later on, he was charged with stealing from Landgraf's gems and was forced to run away to England to escape arrest.
